"If you look up "Plymouth Cricket" on any search engine, you will learn that the Cricket was a subcompact automobile sold by Plymouth (Chrysler) in the U.S in the early 1970s which was when my father bought his (now mine). He was one of the few I must say that did and was fiercely proud of his unique car. It had a sporty rear-end design but a "coke bottle" waistline that gave it a distinctly American aesthetic despite it's UK roots. Although not an enthusiast, my father used to tell people who asked him where he got his Cricket that Race car Driver Scott Harvey drove the "press on regardless" race in 1972 driving one. When the Cricket stopped running my packrat dad kept it covered in the garage vowing to get it back on the road by the end of the summer. He did not specify which summer.
