Shopping for a Pontiac Montana? The Montana nameplate was one of the Pontiac Trans Sport van trim levels in 1999. This particular vehicle similarly resembles the Buick GL8, the Chevrolet Venture and the Oldsmobile Silhouette. It came in two wheelbases, both long and short and was one of the first minivans to provide seating for eight. The Montana received a facelift in 2005 and had a design more closely resembling an SUV. These changes also resulted in a new name: Montana SV6. The new and improved SV6 used a new engine that generated more horsepower and in some models, more torque. The 2008 model has received another "makeover" and already for sale. The Pontiac Montana is as popular today as it was when it was released in 1997.
