The Pontiac Parisienne was being sold in Canada long before its release in the United States. It was a rear wheel drive, full-size vehicle known also as the Bonneville and the Catalina. It was known as early as 1955 for its sturdy body and capable engines. Throughout the years, the Parisienne was modified to suit its consumers. In the early sixties, it came equipped with a six-cylinder engine and later with an eight-cylinder engine. The Parisienne was also available in a sport coupe model.
